Mental Health and Counseling
I received an MA in Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, a holistic and engaging learning experience that allowed me to pursue my own healing while expanding my understanding of various psychological theories and approaches to healing. I am passionate about understanding the human experience and, the internal and external experiences that shape who we are and how we engage with the world around us. I believe that healing begins within ourselves and extends to our relationships: current, past and those to come. This is necessary to achieve the fullest and most authentic life, a life that is aligned with and honors all the parts of who we are.
As a woman of color, I experience today's society as challenging. Maintaining my heritage while participating in the world around me requires constant learning and internalization, a process I am passionate about moving toward. Part of my professional work is to create space for conversation, awareness, healing, and connection, around your experience of the world. I welcome your unique history and experiences as they relate to your healing journey.
Our bodies and psyches hold the healing we pursue. As we give attention and listen to this intuition, we move along our path toward healing and peace. I encourage you to value this as a means of moving toward your own authentic living.
I believe that we cross paths in ways that are meaningful to our healing.
